We arrived obviously and settled in pretty quickly at the hotel - up until 9 that night at least!! Matt forgot to pack his Ventolin and of course was weezing!! Man I tell you, that was a nightmare but a few phone calls and we were in a taxi on our way to an all night chemist to buy one. AND, that where the real part of the nightmare begins, you see the driver had very little english and absolutely no idea of what to do with the driving component!! At one stage he sat playing with his gps to work out where to go and I felt so much like leaning over and telling him to give itto me to set for him!! We did eventually get there though - and get the medicine.
Yesterday we spent the day at the direct factory outlets and wandering through the Brunswick and Fitzroy streets visiting the retail factories. Although we didnt find much - Em did though, 3 pairs of very cheap converses to be exact!! She also bought herself a very cool looking jacket - check it out ...
Today we went to the Old gaol for a tour. It was an amazing old building with heaps to see, especially about the hangings and of course Ned Kelly!! Here are the girls at the top of the second floor - in front of them was where the gallows were.

After we had finished in the main section of the gaol, we visited the watchhouse where we got to be a part of a real arrest. Well as real as a role play could be. As we arrived we were all lined up along the hall and given a check over - this guy in the line was cheeky and he got yelled out lol!! Then we were put into a communal cell where they even turned off the light to give you an authentic feel. I tell you what, we girls couldnt get our mobiles out quick enough - to have some light in the pitc black!! Once let out we got to explore the watchhouse -
It was really amazing standing in a real life padded cell!! As we went out we had our mug shots taken -
He he he!! Pretty cool huh!!
Tomorrow I think we are off to the casino and then the museum - no more shops for awhile!!
