Over the Christmas break I took the plunge and bought a Gypsy for my Cricut machine. I am so glad I did it as well!!
So far I have created only two actual cards using them together, but I love the ease of sitting and designing how it should look aand feel on the screen then just plugging the one machine in for it all to be cut out!

On my Gypsy, I designed a welded mat that folded in half to create my card base as well as the decorative swirly frame to match it. (all on the Accent essentials cartridge) I then made the swirly bits shimmer with a gold dust before coating with a gloss coat!
The rest of the card is a bit mixed media-ish with different textural layers added and the centre stamped image has been paper tolled for added dimension.
