From the moment I saw this stamp, I kind of knew what I wanted to do with it! I realy wanted it to appear as a paper mark on some ancient paper and I achieved this by stamping a letter text background onto a sheet of card (available from Frantic Stamper) then inking the card until it resembled a piece of ancient worn out paper.
I then stamped and embossed the Fleur De Lis using a combination of black ink and this rather cool antiquities embossing powder from Ranger, called Verdegris! As a final touch, I added the nib and the string to kind of finish of the look I was going for! Here is is ...
I love how it turned out, particularly after I went around the interior sections of the image with a white gel pen to highlight and make it pop!
