Momenta pages and Last Project 365 Page for me!

With the release this week of the very first Momenta digital Scrapbooking kits, I have been playing around with the files trying out these pretties for myself.  Heres two more pages I have created with this kit -

Things are a bit hectic around my house atm - am in the beginning process of the mid year reports as well as trying to get all those things I promised to do, well, done!  Which is why after quite awhile thinking it over, I've decided to stop doing the Project 365 pages.  Its become such a labour to drag out my camera and find that idealistic snapshot of something that best reflects my day and inevitably its also time I can desperately use somewhere else so thats it for me!!  I think I just need to go back to taking photo's of those random events that happen whenever they happen rather than trying to keep to a schedule!  Having said that, here is my last page -

 
 
 

Project 365 Update

I'm kinda getting a bit behind in these already!!  But, I'm here to try and catch up before some friends come over for card making so here goes -

Our last daisy as winter begins to really set in, Deb working on some stuff with me and that cute little treat made at work by one of our awesome staff members.

Finally planting our tiny seedlings, Sarah eager as ever and out watering the seedlings, the rain!!!, my much anticipated DVD arriving from Amazon (Did you ever watch the Littlest Hobo?) and my parcel from Frantic Stamper arriving - I made so much mess sorting it all out but I also had a wonderful time doing it!!

Going to the doctors and getting told I am sick - throat kinda sick - but also being told to use a ventolin inhaler to help me.  Finally, my gorgeous kitty doing his thing!!

hats it for me - I have a stack of work on my table to share but I really need to use tonight to plan for the coming school week!!
 
 

Card Making Group and more Project Pages

We have another card making time coming up in my home on the 30th of this month.  During this class we will be making and focusing on the following -

• creating a background pattern using a faux marbling technique with shaving cream.

I really with this photo had turned out better than it did!! I sprayed it with Smooch to have that bit extra zing and that made it awful to photograph.  Anyway,

• Masked stamping
• Bubble blowing backgrounds

So for this page I included a photo of my screen as I downloaded all of the V tv series episodes (which was why my internet was over its limit lol), my first winter flower, Jack the cutie and finally Sarahs slippers which we finally bought for her to keep her toesies warm!

Sasha and her royal tush, Em after spending on some new clips for her hair, the new garden seedlings we bought (I still havent planted them though) and Em peeling veggies for our Sunday roast dinner!!
 

Project 365 and more

My internet is still slow :( in fact so slow that a 500mb file that would normally take 35 minutes to download is currently timing at an estimated 22 hours!!  I so can not wait until next week!!

Meanwhile though, I have a few more project pages to share -

Did you notice how I slipped in that colour image?  I really want that day to stick out of my book forever sinces its the day that my DT staus with Momenta was official!!  I also added a photo of more easter eggs (Yes they are still going), the thinkers keys I made for my kids to use on their spelling tasks, more scrapbooking, my new puzzle books and some fudge that I bought while wandering my local shopping centre.

Making Pie Floaters ( thats the cat in the soup pot - in the process of stealing the leftovers), my apple and blueberry pie, and my Mothers Day bouquet that Emma came home with.

Momenta Play and Project 365

Over on the Momenta site they have several Digi files to download for free.  These range from pieces to ready made pages which you can either use digitally to alter or you can print and add them to your everyday scrapping products.  I chose to download one of the kits - Family Tree; then create a whole page from the pieces ...

To create the background paper, I enlarged one of the frames and then placed it behind the first paper piece.  I then create a paper template that I clipped to a piece of patterned paper I created with a blue paper and repeated lengths of the border trim.

Finally, I have a couple more Project 365 pages to share -

This week included finding that awesome window sticker whichI fell in love with; the girls netball practice and cuddling up with Misty while I was sick after a very long day at work.

New Scrappit challenge page and more Project 365

I'm a bit late this week.  I made it in time for the Scrappit newsletter but I'm afraid I havent had much chance to upload my challenge page here yet. 

This week the challenge was to create a page using the design elements of a favourite website.  Since it was my daughters birthday that I wanted to create the page about, I decided to create my page on her favourite website - Facebook.  She's on it constantly, chatting away. . .

I've also got a few of my Project pages to share so I guess this may be awhile . . .

Sarah sitting quitely (for a change) and reading, Matt on Ebay searching for his goodies and Em with her phone.

Paying blasted bills, Matt hurting himself at the local swimming pool (he slipped on the stairs to the slide and fell down those stairs), going to the doctors with Matt only to be told I had an eye infection and then getting the goodies for Ems birthday party!

Making Ems birthday cake for her party, Ems birthday party itself, my silly ole cat falling asleep on a pillow Sarah put in our wire shopping basket and Shopping at Harbourtown!

So, thats it for me - so much going on atm but I can't say a thing until at least next week!
 
 
 

Teen card

Yesterday I decided - as a way of procrastinating further- to create a birthday card for Ems birthday rather than planning for next week.  After I was finished it I put it on a shelf to take a photo and Em came at that moment.  "Mum thats not for me is it?" was what I got and when I paused she shook her head and informed me that her birthday card this year has to feature Tinkerbell!!  So,  I am making her a new card but I still love this one and figured I would share it (Plus if I run out of time this week then she's getting this one whether she likes it or not!!)  Here it is -

On the inside of the card is a white stamped, stars and skulls border which I applied with a rollagraph wheel.  For a fairly basic card it seemed to take awhile - mostly getting the shading right on the skull so that it would still be white but have some dimension!!

Lastly for tonight, I have another Project 365 page to share -

This weeks photo's include selling with my Mum at the local Trash and Treasure, School planning, picking up my copy of New Moon (and watching it through twice), Taking Em out for a shopping trip and more work on my school planning!!

New Card Class and more

My goodness what a day!  We didn't get home from the wedding till fairly late last night and then by the time we had settled for bed it was after midnight.  Not so bad right?  Except Deb and I were up at 4.30AM to get ready for a day at the local Trash and Treasure.  We had promised my Mum we would go with her to sell some of her jewellery and so we set off. 

Mum did pretty well actually.  Considering it was cold and the weather constantly threatened rain!  I took some of my cards to sell and managed to sell some.  I also sold off some of my books, then went off and spent the lot on my own little treasures that I found around the market.  Here's one of my favourites -

I love the green M and M.  I always have - since her release so finding this was awesome.  I also found this little pretty for my art room -

I had to clean it up but it now lives on my scrap table and holds all my scrap bits!!

This week I have been working on organising my next card group at my house.  Its going to be on Sunday 25th April from 1pm and if you are interested please let me know.  Here are the cards we will be making -

The top card was created using a reverse soot stamping technique while the second is created through shadow stamping.

Project 365 and Frantic Stamper Work

I went out last night to see the new "Clash of the titans" movie.  Well, um, what can I say?  I love love love Sam Worthington - the end?  It was a bit to action for me and that coupled with 3D just kinda got to my head a bit but I loved seeing Sam!!

Tonight, or shortly, we're off to a family wedding.  should be an awesome night! For now though I have some sharesies -

This round of photo's include Ems floor just on finished (well up to grouting that is), shopping for cheap easter eggs lol, My friend Debs cricket awards night and moving Em back into her bedroom.  Sadly its nearly back to the way it was - mess wise!!

Finally, I wanted to share some creations I made with some papers I was recently sent from Frantic Stamper.  They are from the new Bo Bunny range called "Jazmyne" and are absolutely beautiful.  I got some of the glitter papers from the range and -

from two of the sheets I just did hand cutting.  From the first I cut out all the glitter flowers and scattered them across my page, then from the second I cut out the stem and leaf sections to add in.  I then filled the whole spray with some Prima flowers.  I love how this page turned out both in how it looks and in the story that I managed to get down about Em.  BUT  thats not all!  With my scraps I also created two cards -

Sharesies

I still feel crappy - its not fair getting sick at the beginning of the school hols :(  Anyway, I've been wandering around home feeling sorry for myself in between resting. 

Mind you I've had some good times today too, like when Sarah came to me wanting to make some dolls clothes for her new doll.  I taught her how to cut the material to create an outfit, sew in a line and sew on press studs.  She's quite funny to watch as she makes her tiny Barbie clothes and those who know me best will know and understand why this means so much to me - she really does have a bit of me inside her!

So, onto the sharesies, the first I wanted to share was a card I created for my sister in law who just had a baby -

I really liked how this ended up and only wish you could see the Flower soft I added to the grass detail of the stamped image and the glitter trails I added to the butterflies.

My night out with Deb at her High School reunion (The photo is of one of the cocktaisl we drank), Ems night out at her very first concert (She saw Short Stack with Deb and Stacey), Getting myself organised for the end of term, my new Frantic Stamper parcel arrived and I created a covered button flower with it, Sarah's bunny ears and Sarah again - making another of her experiments!!

Sports day and of course the last day of term one!!
