Well this is it - the last challenge in the book and I made it all the way through!! This last one was to create a page about something to do with home. I chose to do a reminder on fire safety for myself - using the photo from last week!!
And, thats it for me for now!! I'm off to Melbourne in the morning for 3 days shopping - woohoo!!

Every week I start out with the best of intentions - I will share on time, I will get on and catch up each day or at least every second day. I say it every week and guess what? It doesnt happen - like at all!! It's Wednesday already for goodness sake and I have no idea whats happened to the first half of the week. Its just evaporated!!
Wait, I remember last night being dance night - I took Sarah to dance with Mum and then came home to crash and I remember Monday night working on the club for September but nothing inspiring like going out to rescue a burning child or building an apocalyptic event!! Both of the pages I have to share tonight were created on sunday - another pretty ordinary sunday in my current state of affairs.

This week the challenge was to create a page about "Being a woman". I have to say that this challenge really had me stumped since I had no idea what element I really wanted to cover. While procrastinating though, I found this awesome brush/poem on the internet and - well - that was that!! I decided on creating a wall hanging with the poem as a focal point - no photo and no big clump of journalling.
I kinda wished I hadnt gone with the whole arty theme though - especially 3 hours in and surrounded by boxes of things that I needed to empty to put my room back in order. BUT I did choose the arty approach and after 5/6 hours of brush painting - digitally - I finally finished it!!
So I bet you are wondering what all my complaining is about? Well, each and every flower and stem was hand coloured with a reduced opacity brush to give the whole thing a very dreamy feel to it. I just have to get it printed and hung now!!
This week the challenge was to create a page that was inspired by something around you. I chose to use my lip balm packaging for my inspiration -

Lastly, do you remember I promised to share a photo of my new bracelet when the last beads arrived? Well they arrived on friday and I took the photo yesterday -
It's my very Twilight inspired bracelet witht he apples and the musical notes and of course a crystal heart and wolf to represent Jacob and Edward!! I've already begun my collection for another bracelet lol!! Hmm I am a bit of a naughty blogger!! Pretty well a week since my last entry - oops - sorry!! I have been so busy, what with work resuming and of course the whole daily life thing. I wish I could say that I have been ultra busy and motivated with my crafts but the best I can admit to is pulling out a pile of Xmas stamps in the hope that I find the time to begin my Xmas cards - can't see that happening realistically in the nearest future.
Over the weekend, it was my birthday and it was pretty well awesome - we went out to dinner and shopping which I alwasy love!! lol!! My mum gave me a gorgeous pandora which I definately hinted at and I even spent some extra money getting some "Twilight style" charms to add to it. I'll take a pic to share when the extra charms arrive and go on.
Tonight I spent the early part of the evening in the doctors and then in the X-ray department. I hurt my foot while I was in Melbourne and its been getting steadily more and more painful to stand on. The doctor took one look (and an ouchy feel) and whisked me out for an x-ray. He thinks I may have chipped my heel bone because of where the pain is but I won't know till tomorrow when the results from the xray are ready. Typical me to hurt myself - its that or I get sick lol!!
Anyway, that it for me and the news - too busy working to have anything exciting to say. BUT I do have some work to share. This first page is for this weeks We dare you challenge over at Scrappit. This weeks challenge was to create a page with a note either attached or featured. Here's mine -

I only ended up creating 2 pages, in part because I used a lot of the papers for my off the page thing but also because this was my month off doing the newsletter and I have been a bit slack - what with the holidays and everything!! Here's my off the page thingy -
I created it especially for Sarah who was dead keen on the idea of a memory book of her own for our trip away. We bought her a disposable camera to use with it while we were away and she did a pretty good job with both taking the photo's and in writing her memories down each night. I was pretty proud of her actually!!

I completely forgot about sharing this one the other night. I've been so sick with the flu that I havent done much of anything other than sleep, watch tv and ... well thats pretty well it really!! Thankfully I created my page while in Melbourne so it was done and ready for the Scrappit newsletter.
Anyway, here it is ...
I had a great deal of fun - creating this page!! I think its the not too perfect sides or all the different elements to see?!? Or of course that photo of Em on the streets of Fitzroy - she was so unimpressed about Matt and I's keenness for walking around Melbourne and she absolutely hated the idea of me stopping for a photo everytime I saw something I loved!!!
First off - we arrived safe and sound!! Sarah absolutely loved the plane and you would have sworn she was on a roller coaster the way she whooped it up!! She is pretty tired now though after all the excitement -
